Upcoming Workshop Saturday May 15 at The Little Feast in St Alban’s Episcopal | 1:30p
Our voice is the most intimate channel of connection with the world and others. With our voice we have the power to create realities and speak into being. Our voice is also a reflection of our identity and can be a way towards personal growth, healing, and self-discovery.
Join us for an experiential workshop where we will explore our relationship with our voice and its possibilities to become a connector with our embodied self. This workshop will combine singing and storytelling. We will use activation, relaxation, and voice techniques–leaving aside aesthetic purposes, to connect with our core.
Through this experience we seek to unblock areas of our body where we usually store trauma, anxiety and sadness, and link the breathing energy from our core experiencing the sound of our whole self.
The experience of our own voice is a means to a healthy expression of our emotions, and opens a door to personal well-being, and to a better communication with others.
We will also explore the communal experience of storytelling. Singing your story in a safe and supportive environment, can open the door to empowerment and healing.
